Marijuana?

Do you think that marijuana should be legal. I'm not going to judge any of your answers and to prove that, I'm not going to pick a best answer, I'll let the community decide.

Answers:
Without a doubt, ABSOLUTELY! It's 1 of the 2 best methods of stress relief there is. No one hears any horror stories about marijuana killing anyone, or causing fatal accidents, or causing cancer, etc. It would definately get this country out of financial debt, there would be a lot less crime rate, and munchie sales would go through the roof! And no one would have to be worried over who not to trust when buying it for fear of a cop being there.

Personally I think liquor should be outlawed and pot legalized. When you are smoking you don't start fights you just sit on the couch and eat a bag of chips.
now if the federal government will let us decide they would be as smart as you, state laws have been passed but they still ignore the people's will

to Jim don't worry about the government getting more revenue they have enough ,

just let people grow it them self, cause that list is crazy stupid lol
YES, it is way safer than alcohol; it has proven medical value; it can be industrialized and used for ethanol and fiber; and it helps calm you down after a hard day at work.

Prohibition still doesnt work.
I would say yes, or at the very least decriminalized. I am more worried that my son will get busted for being at a party with pot than I am of him becoming addicted to drugs.

And isn't that the whole concern...leading to other drugs. If it was legalized at least people could buy at a government run store.

Yea, right. Like that's gonna happen.
Yes, I honestly belive it's time to legalize cannabis world wide... Simply because this herb have alot more beneficiary effects for a user, than bad ones.
It should be up to the individual states to decide in the voting box.
To tell you the truth, I don't really care. For medicinal purposes, absolutely. For recreational purposes, why not. Alcohol is legal and it destroys many lives - likely more than pot. I don't smoke it myself but have yet to be abused, insulted or assaulted by someone high on pot. I can't say the same for drunks.
Yes. It's basically harmless, especially when compared to other legal drugs such as tobacco & alcohol, an argument that has been stated millions of times. The main problem is that it kills motivation and accentuates some mental issues in people who already have mental issues.

However, these problems are a far cry from lung-rotting diseases such as cancer & emphysema, cirrhosis of the liver, senility, and the uncounted deaths & injuries caused by drunk drivers, fires caused by smokers who can't control their butts, and so on.
i think it should be legal. the advantages to it being legal far out way it being illegal. i will list my reasons
-taxing will increase govt revenue
-regulation will decrease crime
- it is much less unhealthy then alcohol tobacco or a cheeseburger
-it is not addictive
- it has many medical and industrial uses
-it will fix the overcrowded prison system
- it will save the govt money
-no one has ever died from it
- there are many more that i cannot think of off the top of my head
I think that if they have legal drugs such as tobacco then we should equalize the legalities with marijuana. Both of these drugs are getting worse than they were back then. If we have one natural substance legal to smoke, why not another?

The main problem is the availability to minors. I think we should have stronger enforced laws that strictly penalize making smoking look "fancy" and "hip" to teens. Also laws that stronger penalize underage minors smoking. It is a horrible problem these days.
yes, it would take the mystic out of it. less money going to illegal activity that would found terriorst activity.
No, marijuana should not be legalized until:
1. The intoxicant level of THC can be regulated
2. There are legally acceptable field sobriety tests that could quantifiable determine if someone is driving impaired with THC,
3. It has clear warnings associated to the carcinogens and tar content found in cannabis smoke.
4. It is only legal for adults who have (or should have) the understanding of responsible use.
5. Associated warnings for possible effects to the unborn for pregnant females who use.
5. There is legislation to tax the material and those revenues are designated for research on long term effects os use and treatment for addicts, as well as a separate fund for long term liability.
Alcohol should be banned! Marijuanna should be legalized. It is NOT a gateway drug. We have alcoholics, and they want to blame everyone else for their problems they are making for themselves. No one after smoking a do-be, has ever went out and drove a car into a innocent victum. Drunks go home...that is IF they can make it, and beating the living hell out of their wife and kids. Kick the dog, step on the cat.
No one has EVER done that after smoking a do-be. They are too layed back. Not on anti-depressant's. Then the cops wouldn't have so many family violence to go too.
yeah. it's fun. and basically all the other arguements other people make... there's not that much more to say.
yes marijuana should be legalized. i belive this because after quite a lot of research ( and personal experince ) ive found that it is not as bad for you as they say. it was made illegal for many reasons like goverment corruption, bad resaerch and get this racism! in the 1930s pot was very popular amoung black jazz clubs. The old white men in congress used this as an arguement! there was even a fictional story about a teen who got high and killed his entire family and forgot about it. of course smokeing can have health problems but nothing fatal. plus... how many people do you find passed out in a gutter because the are "too high"
