i don't get this country...we are all gonna stand by and wait for it to happen...then everyone is gonna do and say what they always do when these innocent kids end up being terrorized before being killed by these non-humans...

i would start prosecuting people for violating laws that don't exist.
ln all fairness, he isn't doing anything illegal. Creepy or not, he can write whatever he wants.
We have to remember that any law can me limited by the statute of limitations. In this case, the freedom of speech should be limited on safety of the public, especially children.
I argue that if a direct correlation is found between his blogs and an increase of child sexual crimes, then a course of action should be taken.
If it were my kid I would knock his teeth in. You have to draw the line someplace and when it comes to kids it gets serious. I can't wait for the new story on the LA dad that kicks the crap out of this guy and you know the dad would get off easy because he would have the support of the nation behind him. what i would do if it were my kid is irrelevant(meaning i'm not about to admit anything here). i believe he is violating law. importuning is simply talking about having sex with a minor on a computer,people get charged with it. i would have to read his site to answer better
At the moment, he hasn't done anything illegal. Unfortunately, you can't arrest a person because they MIGHT do something illegal.
But if I were the LAPD, I'd check the computer of every pedophile they arrest, and if you see that they went to this scumbag's web site, arrest him for aiding and abetting.
If I were a parent, I'd get a court order, based on his web site, to keep him away from anywhere my kids ever go (schools, parks, libraries). Get enough parents to do this, and pretty soon he won't be able to go anywhere without violating one court order or another, then you can put him in jail for that.
Educate my child about this man and the dangers of people like him, and how he operates. I would look at his blog and always accompany my child to the places where he "advocates meeting LGs".
If I were a parent, I'd be keeping an eye on my children and making sure they're safe. That would include monitoring what web sites and chat rooms they visit, and making sure they're always under adult supervision in public places like the ones described on the web site. I admit it's very creepy, but if he hasn't molested anyone, there are no grounds to arrest him. In a way, he might even be helping some people to be more aware of where their children are at risk, and parents need to take extra precautions in those places because there are lots of more dangerous pedophiles who aren't publicizing their favorite hangouts.
He is most likely being watched by the police, so what are you whining about? You can not punish someone for not commiting a crime even though they may be doing something immoral.
He probably is attracted to children, but the potential repercussions for commiting that crime are probably what has prevented him from acting on his fantasy. In addition, he probably created the blog so he would be exposed to everyone else with spotlight for further reinforcement to prevent himself from commiting a crime. This means he has a conscience.
In a sense, he is living in his own hell.
It's not a matter of freedom of speech.
You cannot punish someone for thinking about breaking the law. And that's all this guy has done -- think about it.
There are millions of people in the US that think about breaking the law -- do you want to lock them all up -- based solely on their thoughts, just in case they might try to break the law someday?
The only thing the police can do is keep a lookout, and stop him if he ever does attempt to break the law.
Because thoughts are not criminal conduct.
I agree with CHredon. If this guy's website in any way helps pedophiles to find these kids and then commit crimes against these children then he should be found guilty of aiding and abeting.
You can't arrest someone for thinking about breaking the law. That's true. It's unsettling. This guy, in spewing this crap, might just be trying to get attention, who knows.
If they arrest him for just thinking about this stuff out loud, there's not a D.A. in the country who can get a conviction.
I would take care of it with my own type of justice.
