How can I find conditions of someone on probation in Virginia?

Class 6 felony - possession/transportation of firearm while being a convicted felon. Pleaded guilty, sentenced to 5 years in State Prison, judge suspended the jail time and gave him 5 years probation instead. No fine, no community service. This was following a domestic altercation where he held a loaded gun to me and my son.
What would he be allowed to do and what he can't do is what I'm worried about.
Any place on the internet I can go and find out what the conditions are of his probation?

Answers:
You can contact the victim's services or the probation department in the area, and depending on the local rules, they should at least give you some information. You may need to file a special victim's report or something to get the information.
The rules governing probation are different for each person on probation, but almost certainly, if the crime has a victim, a condition will be that he cannot have contact with that victim. They are also usually prohibited from using drugs or alcohol (especially if that was a factor in the crime); they cannot leave the state, and sometimes they can't leave the county, without special permission from the court (or at least his probation officer); and they cannot own a firearm (especially if that was part of the crime).
Especially since this guy was a felon when he committed the crime against you, you should be able to speak to his probation officer and get the details.

~ The next guy is totally wrong ... they lose most of their rights to privacy while on probation (they also can be searched without probable cause, etc.). Especially if you're a victim, there isn't any privacy law that protects criminals from dissemination of their probation conditions.

no.sorry, but that info is strictly confidential.the probation dept could be sued for releasing it to you
there are general rules for prob. like commit no offense,no association with known felons,no firearms(haha)etc, but the specefics of his case are not public info
good luck
