If all i wanna do at the dmv is take a new pic for my license, do i still need the 5 points of id or whatever?

I doubt they will let you come back in for another "photo session" unless you lost or damaged your license.

Are you simply "unhappy" with the picture you have now?
Join the club...hardly anyone likes their DMV photo?

To get a duplicate license (if you lost yours)...
looks like it will cost $11.00 plus they request that you "Provide proof of identity according to the state's six-point verification system."

Chances are that no, you will only need your current license. That is assuming they will let you get a new picture. You will likely have to pay for the license.
