Underage driving?
if someone at the age of 13 gets caught driving on a public road by an officer of the law with their parent in the front seat letting them drive, would this affect the driving privelages of the 13 year old when he or she grows up to be the age of driving?? my little brothers freind got caught and was curious

I would bet that the parent is in more trouble than the child. In most states they can suspend the child's license for a couple of years after when they would have got it. But since the parent was telling them to, I would bet it is there fault.
Definitely...the courts will penalize the youths driving privileges until they are 18, at least where I am at I know they do. Go to your state government website and do a law search you will probably find the correct answer there.

Well it should not affect them when he turns 16. By then the punishment should be served and it should only be a misdemeanor.
Insurance companies on the other hand have long memories and his insurance will be considerably higher than average.
