Please we need advice with child custody issue in Michigan (50% joint, physical, legal currently).?
My husband and I have been married for four years now and he has 50% joint, physical, and legal custody of his 9 year old daughter from his previous marriage. We had to undergo pyschological testing four years ago when the mom at the time actually wanted something to do with her daughter and was married ( now divorced again) and the doctor favored us as the parents for her. Currently the mom has moved to another city which is only 30 minutes away and she wants us to take her full time but thinks she will be getting the $220, a month in child support that she currently gets from us and that we she won't have to sign anything through the FOC, we have the daughter more than her because she is too busy being with friends and doing other things. Also we had to schedule a tonsillectomy for his daughter which the mother is against and lied and said she talked the doctor about the procedure. Does the mom have to legally sign for the surgery too along with my husband?? HELP, IDEAS!!!

If it's 50/50.I wouldn't think that you guys would need her signature. Does it say anything that prior approval to surgery has to be done by either parent in your paperwork? You might want to call your courthouse to find out exact specific's in an important matter like this.
All dad has to do is take the little girl in for treatment. I get my son medical treatment all the time and don't have to have his dad sign anything.
