If all minorities want is to be treated equal why do they insist on an unequal system of affirmative action?
under the current system a black student from an affluent area and a good school can more easily get into college the a poor white student from a crappy school with a better GPA. why not change to a system based on socioeconomic standing, not race?
Answers:
why not just have people go where they earn a place to go regardless of rich/poor black/white/asian/latino
It's the inherent contradiction of most pc thinking.
My friend, you just answered your own question...but you can give me credit for the best answer since you can vote for yourself...ha ha
Is a merit-based system to much to ask for? Hard work and perseverance transcend racial and socioeconomic boundaries.
I've wondered the same exact thing and i absolutly agree. But the white student does not even have to be poor or from a crappy school and can still have a hard time.
a high gpa at a school with below average curriculum is not as good as a lower gpa from a 'better' school. if you would like to talk about affirmative action pose a better question.
actually a new study was released and whites are now the minority...out ranked by blacks and latinos 10 to 1
Minorities might want to be treated equal but their leaders want to be treated better. So now we have affirmative action, hate crime legislation, political correctness etc. All which is really racial bias in reverse.
sorry to involve ur question but ?! whats your source?
