How can I find out if I would pass a criminal background check?

When I was 17, I was charged as an adult for larceny over $250 and identity fraud. .... Yes I was an idiot and I hung out with the wrong crowd ... I'm now 24 and haven't been into trouble since (it's been 7 years).

I've never been convicted, though. The judge was very good to me and gave me a CWOF (continuance without a finding) which resulted in a dismissal after 1 year probation and restitution. Needless to say, I complied with the terms of my 1 year probation and the aforementioned charges were dismissed.

I've never been convicted of those felonies. For employment purposes, would I pass a criminal background check? Where can I go to run my background to see if I would pass a criminal check?

I think it's important to note that I'm from Massachusetts.

TIA

Answers:
If you have not been convicted of a felony then you will pass a criminal background check. Alot of counties have judicial records online. Check to see if that county has the records online, type in your name and see what it pulls up before running a fee based check if you are still concerned.

You can do a search online at places similar to PeopleSearch. If you have the SSN, birthdate, and full name (which you would) you can get your own background check online for a fee...typically starting at about $40.

EDIT
In answer to your other question, it would show you what you have on your criminal background check. Whether or not it would cause you to "pass" or "fail" if someone looked it up is entirely up to that person and what they require. But if there IS something in your criminal history, it would show you what it is and when it occurred.
Based on what you are saying I don't think that you would have a record. I don't know who keeps that record but I would start with my local police station and walk in and ask.

You can go to legal aid or a criminal attorney and ask the question most will not charge you for a short session.

Third you can go to the internet there are companies that do all kinds of searches and for a few dollars you can get a report.

Good Luck. I don't think you have a problem.
Check with your local police department. I live in Missouri and I was going to work for UPS and had to have a criminal background check. They sent me down to the police station and I paid 2 or 3 dollars and filled out a quick form. Within 2 weeks I had a report back. So I would call and ask your local police department. Considering your situation, I'd check just to make sure before a future employer does! If it does show up, you can probably get it removed easy enough. Especially since its Mass. - I'd check. Since you were charged as an adult and did probation, there's a record of it somewhere. You're doing good and are obviously on a good path, so I'm sure if you follow up on it, things will continue to go your way! Best wishes.
Check with your State Court's Clerk of Courts office in the area where the improprieties occurred & inquire about expungement procedures.
I can offer 2 websites for background check, people search, criminal check and public records:
