The reason i know it is the same apt. because there is only 2 apartment available one 2 bedroom and 1 3 bedroom and there advertising the 3 bedroom? i gave up my apt. the move is for sept 1
Answers:
maybe they paid for a period of time for the ad to be run but they are telling callers they are uninterested, why dont you call and see what they say, after that you should take proper measures
Did you pay both the deposit and the rent?
A S K the place what the story is,
You are scheduled to mve in Sep-1
and it looks like they are renting to someone else
Get the facts from them
If they say YES they are re-renting the apartment you thought was being held for you ... ask WHY
ask for both your money back, and compensation ... your old apt bridge burned, you think they owe you
with any luck, they will make good for you & you not have to go lawyer route
Do not accuse them ... there may be some other apartment complex you are not aware of that the same people own
...'i see they posted availability today,' you write, but where is it posted? Newspaper ads usually run from week to week. If you have a receipt for your deposit, it will stand you in good stead if there is any confusion later on. Legislation governing rental disputes is usually a state responsibility. To find out more about your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, Google the terms, 'landlord tenant and the name of your state.' There is usually a list of FAQs to review. Find out what steps are required to secure your apt after initial deposit, then take it from there. Good luck.
