Do you think life in prison should mean life?

Answers:
Definitely.let the bastards rot,and get rid of this early release for good behaviour. If you are sent down for a specific length of time, then you should serve every single minute of that time.

What makes you think it isn't?
yes it should especially for paedophiles.
Yes, why say life if its not life if its only 15 years then they should say 15 years or less with good behaviour
Yes. Of course. If someone has been sentenced to life then it's for a crime that warrants taking away their liberty for a long period of time. Without making their lives inhumane in prison also, the period that they spend should not be all rosy with flat screen TVs and excercise classes
Yes! Without chance of parole.
Yes. Have to add though that the only way to safeguard the prison officers who would have to deal with them would be a very harsh regime where everything the prisoner had would be a privilege and if guards are attacked then all privileges would be removed for longer and longer periods dependant on compliance with rules.
I agree - Life should be life! Not just how ever many years it is! Why is it called life if you do not even go in for life - Biggest scam since sliced bread
Most defiantly and without privilege's
Life should mean life.
Life does mean life. If someone is sentenced to, say, 25 years to life, then, after 25 years, they become eligible for parole.
as opposed to what? The warden telling an inmate well we know you murdered your entire family, but what the hell your're 70 years old now, I suppose your free to go?
If you applied the trades descriptions act to prison sentences the judge would be locked up
YES...it would make a change.

what bugs me is some prisoners are allowed to appeal and have thier sentence reduced...but (not saying she should be allowed) but myra hindley wasnt allowed to appeal so why should other killers and such like.

life for a life means pay with your life.
bring back hanging i say...honestly...but mostly for little kid thugs showing guns on youtube...joke.not...
Yes.
Yes with no doubt in my mind.
yes if the crime says life then it should be life
Definately , but then do tax payers want to keep these people in prison or is there another solution , maybe it should be life for a life when it comes to murder . Other life sentences would have to depend on what they've done as to whether it means life .
If you are talking about murder then YES, also lets throw in some hard labour and make them grow their own food etc
