Can copy rights for an idea really protect my idea?
I have an idea for a website,, but I was wondering how can I make copy rights for this idea,, also can anyone copy this idea,, since it can be copied if you know it.. can I really make it mine.. its really unique and I'm very excited about it,, and I hate to see a large company with big budjets go and steal it,, what to do?
for example,, the myspace idea is very cool,, but now I see almost all large companies do the exact same idea,,,, do you know what I mean !

The above advice is perhaps well intentioned, but wrong. Ideas can't be copyrighted. Nor can they be patented. Nor can they be trademarked.
Specific written expressions and designs can be copyrighted. Products and business processes can be patented. Designs can also be trademarked.
Ideas are simply not protected in intellectual property law. That's why something like myspace can be replicated by other social networking sites.
Copyright protects creative expression -- pictures, text, layout -- not an "idea". ideas (inventions or processes) are protected by patent, not copyright.
No, copyright only protects the specific work you produce. So if you create a cool new page, the exact content cannot be reproduced in whole or in part, due to copyright (and the domain name is obviously locked in, too). But, that would not stop others from creating similar sites.
