I need to know where to go to look up the will of my dad and his wife. Died in Rankin County Mississippi?
My father passed away in 1997 and his wife in 2005. I am searching for a record of their wills. My dad's name was Sharp C Downs and her name was Faye V Downs and they lived in Brandon, Mississippi at the time of their deaths.

Need to go to the county courthouse in Brandon. If probate was filed, the records would be there. Can also check records in their names.

If they even have wills that is some people never have wills at all. If you cant find one in there things then see if they have a lawyers number in there personal phone book. Most times if its with a law firm the firm will call who is executor of the will and get everyone together and tell the wills information then. Then there there is what is called a living will. I would get ahold of there doctors for the living wills to see if there was ever a will in the first place. There is a large chance that the doctors office will have a copy or even the hospital that both have gone to for any kind of surgery's in the past. Good Luck finding anything.
