If I payed my rent on August 10th then by law I do have until September 10th to move out right?

If you moved in on the 10th, and your rent is due on the 10th, then your month-to-month tenancy ends on the 9th of each month. If you stay until the 10th of the month, you're getting into another month of staying there.
You can't just move out, however. You'll have to give notice before you can vacate, or you will owe another month's rent, and your landlord could sue you for an additional month's rent as well as the costs for suing you.
The length of the notice you give will vary depending upon the state where you live. In most states, 30 days notice is required before you can move out without owing another month's rent. If you didn't tell you're landlord by August 9th, you can't move out on September 9th. You can give your notice right now, and then you can move out on October 10th.
Some states do allow a 15 day notice on a month-to-month tenancy. To find out if your state does, google the name of your state and the following words:
landlord tenant notice month rent
That should tell you how much notice you need to give.

If you are on a month to month lease, the rent is generally due the first of each month. Paying your rent on August 10th is ten days late. Unless you pay through the 10th of September, then you still owe ten days rent.
If you didn't sign a lease with the landlord when you moved in then I assume you can move at the end of the month otherwise you have to wait until the lease is up or give your landlord notice that you are moving.

Depends on when your lease agreement. If it is dated from the 1st of the month then you have to be out (I believe) by noon of the 1st. If your lease agreement is from the 10th then you don't have to be out until the 10th.
