Did the immigration law pass on amnesty?
I have not heard about it on the news for a long time now, and i don't know whether it passed or failed. The last time it aired on news, they said that both the Republicans and the Democracts opposed, so i am guessing it did not pass. I don't know, whether i am right or not. Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The immigration reform package did not pass (which means that not only did amnesty fail but also the provisions that would have been tougher on employers who hire illegal immigrants failed). The last time that it came up for a vote there were not enough votes to end debate in the Senate so it was pulled off the floor for the time being. It is unlikely that it will come back as there is no consensus on what should be done, however, the President keeps on trying to get some version passed.
No, it did not
It didn't pass but both sides are trying again.
no as of now it is dead dont know what will happen in the future
There was a big fight in Congress over many provisions, and eventually they had to drop it for this congress until they come back from break and try again. The news media covered it heavily while the fight was going on, but within a few days of the fight over, it fell from the top headlines. However, there are still some news stories accessible from a few days weeks ago. You can check out story as follows.
1. Get to a search engine which has a news search area like the following: http://news.search.yahoo.com/news;_ylt=a...
http://news.google.com/nwshp?tab=wn...
2. Key in a few key words to limit to what you are interested in such as
"immigration bill" amnesty "US Congress"
Note that I placed "immigration bill" in quotes, which tells the search engine that I am not interested in articles that tallk about immigration or have the word "bill", what I want are articles that have the phrase "immigration bill"
Here are links to 166 articles that meet that criteria
http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us...
You can go read some of the articles, but I think what happened is they approved billions of $ to build a wall or fence 700 miles long (which is not the whole southern border) then Mexico says there are endangered species (not humans) who migrate across the border, and this fence will mess that up, so they are asking for the fence to not be continuous, but have some breaks in it for the endangered species (and illegal immigrants and drug smugglers and terrorists) sneak thru
Note that I have an "attitude" on this topic, so you need to read the news reports and make up your own mind on what is really going on.
Now some of the provisions that were in the immigration bill that had to be taken out, so the 700 mile fence could be approved, they are now showing up in an agriculture bill that is being debated.
There's also a bill to try to censor talk radio, because it was talk radio that educated a lot of the citizenry about what Congress was up to
