Congress gave the president permission to do whatever he thought was necessary to rid the world of terrorists. He thought that attacking Iraq would help end terrorism due to the information that he was given. I dont see how you see this war as illegal...

Unfortunately, the question is invalid as phrased. The Iraq war was authorized by Congress in 2002 and they have never revoked this authorization. Whatever else the war may be, it is not illegal according to the laws of the United States. Popular disapproval of a war does not make it illegal.
