Do people understand the U.S. has no legal, national or official language?

There is no language here.
So either get a law made to make English the official language or SHUT UP!!

i forget what the technical term is but english is the language that all government work must be done, however if we name it the national language then ballots cannot be printed in other languages and non english speakers cannot get translators in hospitals and other such instances.
English is the official language. That's the bottom line. End of story.
While there may be no official language on the books, if the majority of the population speaks the same language, you'd think it would make immigrants, who supposedly come here looking for a better life, would adopt the local custom of speaking English.
You come to America you learn English!!! You DO NOT expect America to cater to you. Fit in or get out!
English is the most widely language spoken in America. I can understand if someone is visiting and doesn't know the language or just moved here and doesn't know the language. But what bothers me is when people with a heavy accent get pissed off at ME because I can't understand what they are saying, it's not my fault they have a heavy accent, its also not my fault I have hearing issues. If they want to live here and attempt to learn the language...great, but they need to be patient and realize its hard for some of us who even have a hard time understanding native english speakers.
