Why did america turn down foreign aid when katrina hit and the people there are still suffering?
How can you evacuate people from half way across the world when the war started in Lebanon last year but you couldn't do it in your own back yard of New Orleans?
Answers:
Katrina was a unique situation , the people that are suffering were warned with plenty of time to leave but refused to . Katrina would have got a lot more attention of everyone didn't have an appropiate warning to leave . Here in Texas we watched the storm head that way for a week , people were under mandatory evacuation but refused , there were news stories of cops using force to take people from their homes . The people that are suffering from staying in the area are getting what they deserve from being hard headed
we turned down aid from countries we don't support because then we would owe them if we took the money, it's all politics
Too proud, I suppose. It's terrible, because Mississippi isn't cleaned up yet, and I'm sure Louisiana and Alabama aren't, either.
