What would happen if I had lost my passport?
-while on vacation out of the US?
-also what would happen if i burned it to ashes (on purpose) ?.
-is it illegal or a sin to steal your OWN passport from your guardian/adult? then lose it?
i need serious answers..

You would have to go to the US embassy in the local area and wait there until they gave you new forms so you could leave the country. This takes a lot of time and can ruin the trip altogether. In some countries not having a passport is very serious and can be illegal.
If you burned it to ashes is would be a waste of a lot of hard work, money, and time to get that passport.
And no, it is not illegal or a sin to steal it as far as I know, but it would be wrong in my opinion.
You don't want to lose it. It's a big hassle.
You can still get a replacement one by going to the US Consul in whatever country you're visiting.
