Can i claim compensation for being locked in a shop after closing ( UK )?

I was recently in my local convenience store and was at the rear of the store, very quickly the doors were closed, the shutters went down and lights out, i was locked in at 10pm in the evening, i was very scared and nervous about being locked in against my will.

I managed to contact the police who brought someone to let me out eventually, i have been ill for the last few days after this event.

Is the shopkeeper/company liable in any way and can i be compensated at all for this.

This happened in England UK 5 days ago.

Thanks

You should be more cautious about the time. No, do not expect any compensation. Sell your story to the news paper if you need money.
