What happens if we leave after we recieve 3 day eviction notice?

We recieved a 3 day notice asking us to pay rent past due. If we leave the premises what can they do after we leave? We have a new place to move into, but I was just wondering what will happen if we leave without telling them.

Answers:
They can sue you for past due rent if they can find you. I have never heard of a landlords' association that blocks people. We don't have that where I live.

Theoretically, you can just leave, but then the eviction goes on your record, and could mess up any future rental application and your credit.

Pay your rent.
You don't have to tell them, but you'll still owe the back rent. They'll show up after 3 days and change the locks.
You get blacklisted with your local renters association if you have broken your lease, or for non-payment of rent. Evidently this was not an eviction notice. They can hold you to the remainder of your lease and enforce penalties agreed to in the lease such as having to pay the rent that was not paid. Including the rent for any months remaining on the lease.
They could take you to small claims court, turn the debt over to a collection agency, or a number of other things.

Depending on how the apartment managers in your area work, they may inform other management agencies that you failed to pay, making it harder for you to get a new apartment later.
