Why does it seem that at work liberals are not as dedicated as conservatives?

They seem to think that by being dedicated to the company they are “bowing down to the man”.

I see my coworkers who are obviously conservatives paying attention to detail, taking responsibility and getting the job done.

The liberals here at work are more often than not lackadaisical and “laid back”.

In my business their mistakes cost our company money which in turn causes our customers to have to pay more for their premiums which is funny because if mistakes were reduced to a minimum our dental insurance would be much cheaper and liberals like to scream the loudest about affordable insurance!

I think you are generalizing because you have a filtered lens on your perception. You obviously have something against liberals, so you find flaws in those around you who are liberal and gloss over them with your conservative pals. While your workplace may have individuals that fall under your perceptual pattern, I guarantee you it is not how it is in the real world. Politics have nothing to do with dedication to one's work.

You must work at a strange place. I know plenty of lazy conservatives.
How wonderful it must be to see the world as simply as you.
Because part of the liberal philosophy includes an egalitarian belief that just because someone is the boss, that doesn't make them always right or always superior.

And because part of the liberal philosophy is allowing diversity and freedom and lack of restriction, which does make them"laid back" because they don't value conformity for its own sake.

Conservatives value conformity and adherence to rules and traditions for their own sake, whether those rules and traditions are directly relevant or not.

To a liberal, they'll follow a rule if it makes sense, not just because the rule is there. To a conservative, they'll follow a rule just because it's there, unless you can prove to them that it doesn't make sense. Different perspective.
Hmmm. That is weird.. At my job people don't wear labels that describe their political beliefs..
Not always true, but mostly true. Although our Commander-in-Chief is as lazy as hell. But they're neocons. That's different. I agree that true conservatives as a whole, are usually harder workers who stick to the rules and are more often punctual. It doesn't mean that they do better work quality-wise. And that's what really matters, doesn't it?
I always wondered why conservatives folded their toilet paper..not that I would hang out in the lavatory and watch...
That's funny because I've seen the opposite where I work. In fact, the conservatives lost almost a whole decade of productivity when Clinton was in office worrying about whether or not Bill had an orgasm.
I will say this about conservatives though: they do a much better job of acting like they are working. However, when I go to review what they've done, it stinks.
Keep up the good work!
Weird.
Because at MY job, the obvious conservatives are all meth-snorting, wife beating slobs who kick dogs whenever they get the chance.
All the liberals at MY job volunteer in the community at least 20 hours a week, never drive faster than the posted speed limit, and always seem to have a smile.

See; I can pull blanket generalizations and assumptions out of my butt too!
If this isn't the Stockholm Syndrome of wage slavery I don't know what is...
Everyone believes 'the man' is out to screw them. The man is out to reduce labor costs to an absolute minimal, so that Wall Street, or simply the owners themselves, can make more money. It's a shame people HAVE to work in order to survive, because if they could work to simply be their very best, and produce the very best product or service, then that is exactly what would result. Only the best would work, because they wanted to, and 'the man' would have to pay in order to get the best, not the forced. Think volunteer military, over draftee military. The problem is, in order to have this scenario, we would need to offer a minimal living standard, free of charge, in order to keep the apathetic OUT of the work place, and in order to entice those who really want more, into the work place.
Is it just that you are so prejudiced that you assume these people are liberals when actually they may have no political leanings at all or may even be conservatives? Surely you don't waste company time by talking politics at work?
