Michael Vick. Role model for young blacks, or upitty negro?
Its seems there is not not very much criticism from the African American community toward Vick. Is this type of role model blacks want for their youth today? Another no good thug?

I SO know what you are saying! What he did was so horrible. Inconceivable. He even hung and drowned some of the dogs! How anyone can try to defend him is beyond me, there is NOTHING to base a defense on.
I wonder sometimes if there is just some "unwritten code" amongst the african american community that they will always stand behind famous african americans regardless of what horrible acts they commit.
As an Atlanta resident, I have always thought the guy and his brother were just THUGS and poor role models from the start.
Criminal. Skin color has nothing to do with it.
He is a bad role model to all our youths, regardless of how much pigmentation a person has on their skin.He is human. Skin color has nothing to do with the crime he committed and how people view him.

Aren't all 3 pleading out on guilty against him black? Maybe that evens the score for those who see racism in everything. NAACP needs to make a statement since they popped up and said they supported Vick.

In areas I've seen there are spontaneous street fights, a planned fight and the pit is set-up in a house or field and then removed when they are through. Our animal control officer that seeks out abused animals finds bodies of dogs. If it hasn't been too long, there are signs of a dirt spot, blood, cigarettes, whisky or beer bottles, sometimes a collar. In the houses a garage or large room is used. Protection may be put down on the floor and then boards, cheap commerical type carpet, etc. Some clean with clorox.
This is what makes it soooo hard to catch them. They can set up and be gone in 4 hours People used to it don't care. People who may care may be afraid of reporting it. Me? I might do some Chuck Norris justice. ... or take the dog owners down to the extreme fighting pen and throw them in there.
We NEED to keep the pressure up & Disincentives STRONG.
Ask your Senator and Rep and US Senator and Congressman what they are going to do to enforce the new law. That's the problem, ENFORCEMENT and continual "committed to cruelty and fighting" law enforcement and animal control groups in each state.
