large drink? The guy says yes, then the guy throws the open drink at the guy in the window, then drives off. This guy had a friend who videotaped all this. Can the cops get him for assault? These bad guys promote softcore violence and pass it as cheap entertainment.

That is assault. or battery depending on the jurisdictions. Not to mention if they did not pay for the drink they are stealing.
I say the guy should lose his job, not too sure soda is a deadly weapon, but you could take it to the cops if you wanted, I would just take the tape to the boss and have him terminated.
