Sorry, but with what you wrote it is hard to figure out what happened in order to help answer.
What charges ?..financial, criminal?
Not enough info to assess the problem. Submit more information of a W5 nature - who, what, where, when, why and how much? What exactly does the message from Yahoo! say?
OK, slow down, let the drugs wear off, and try to formulate your question again. You can do this.I belive in you!
Unless you threatened them, they can't charge you criminally. But you don't really clarify what they're doing.
Maybe you could ... I don't know, quit talking smack to people who "get smart" with you?
Yahoo is not the government. Yahoo can not file charges. However, Yahoo can file a civil lawsuit. But there has to be damages against the injured party filing the suit. How is Yahoo injured by you telling some other guy off? I think that you either left something out or you got an impersonated message from that guy trying to scare you. And "mocking" somebody is not a valid "tortious" claim so I'm sure you'll be alright unless you directly and ligitimately threatened him, which in that case could be considered an assault or harrassment.
Someone is just yanking your chain via email.
It is surely an imposter.
Unless you misunderstood big time when you recieved a VIOLATION OF YAHOO T.O.S. notice.
It will be okay.
