Do you think Hoover was actually ignorant that organized crime existed, or were there other reasons?

Former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover has been held responsible for failing to acknowledge the existence of a national organized crime syndicate until a chance discovery of the Apalachin Conference proved him wrong.

J,EDGAR HOOVER was a brilliant man and I do believe he was honest , but of course our politicians didn't like him as he always had so much on them that he could force them to do what was right, The F,B,I, was under him the best in the world and the most honest, look at what it is today, nothing but a bunch of babbling idiots who frame people Kill the and can't even investigate a case and find the guilty ones with out a snitch,who will testify to anything to get his time cut, they should be did away with the F,B,I, for as to how much good they do our country against the expense,
