Doesn't anybody know about madalyn murray o'hare, an atheist.?
some of my answers seemed puzzled when i mentioned her. well, in 1960 she got the government to remove school prayer because she didn't want her son doing it. then in 1990 she tried to get the federal broadcast system to remove all religious broadcasts from the tv and radio. i know because i signed one of them at church. people were really upset over it.
Answers:
Didn't she go missing in Texas or something and was never found again?
Yes, I've heard of her.
EDIT: However, your question got me to review some of the information, and I was surprised to find she's not as extremist as I thought she was. Her famous court case was to ban coercive Bible Readings in public school, and it passed in the Supreme Court 8-1. The Federal Broadcast thing, as stated below, is a hoax.
I'm really upset over religious extremeists who try to impose their religion in my public places.
EDIT:
Must have been a faith based murder, huh?
she was a communist ***** , and if I said how i feel about you signing her petition I would go to jail,
I believe that religion is the absolute WORST thing that has ever happened to man! So, I actually LIKED O'hare.
Madalyn Murray O'Hare, her son John Garth Murray and his daughter Robin, vanished from the face of the planet on August 28, 1995. A note was left on the door of their offices in Texas..stating that they would be gone for an undetermined amount of time. Well, they're still gone (many say murdered). I've provided you with a link that tells the story. I live in Texas and remember the incident very well. I don't think very many Texans miss her or her work.
By the way...She and her group were as extremist as you can get. Don't let anyone fool you. She was evil and dangerous to all Christians and especially to Texas Christian families. She did a lot of damage in Texas and Texans of faith are not unhappy with her sudden disappearance. For what ever that is worth to you...it's the truth in Texas.
Good luck on your research!
Yes, I know who she was. But I never heard anything about her trying to get religious broadcast removed from TV/radio. And based on this from snopes.com (and I’ve always found them to be accurate in their reporting), it’s not true:

You may have signed something, but it would appear it was a hoax.
