Embryonic Stem Cell research?

Well, im just curious about Embryonic stem cell research.

- About how many embryos are made and killed each year.

- Why not Adult stem cells? there hasnt been a succesful cure using embryonic stem cells yet, but there have been plenty for adult. Taking stem cells from and adult doesnt even harm them. Why kill an embryo when there hasnt been a succesful cure using their stem cells? Why cant we just use adults? it cost less first of all, its not harmful, and its proven to cure.

Answers:
The embryos will be killed whether or not they are used for research, PERIOD.

Yes, they can use the adult stem cells, but they are not as versatile as the embryos are. What I don't get it that they can use stem cells from the cord which are the same thing as the embryo, but people are still shocked about that too.

IMO, people try to be too "Saintly" when in reality they are being nothing more than demons by their refusing to support stem cell research which can save people here and now who are on earth. Sad, really.

Adult stem cells are different than embryonic stem cells

Embryonic stem cells are the pre-formed cells that exist within the embryo or blastocyst. The reason that embryonic stem cells are so important is that they are the specific cells that divide and later become all the other types of cells in the body.

Adult (somatic) stem cells do not have those properties, so it's an entirely different type of research. They are only useful for replenishing the types of organs that those particular stem cells come from -- as opposed to being able to form ANY type of tissue the way embryonic stem cells do.

And no embryos are killed specifically to provide embryonic stem cells. Medical research either takes them from embryos that would be destroyed anyway (usually from artificial insemination where the embryo will never be implanted) or they are reproduced from existing stem cell lines by cellular duplication.
how about stem cells from the placenta after a child is born?
I don't know a lot about stem cells but I do know that embryonic stem cells can be made into any cell. Like, kidney tissues, heart tissues, skin, etc. Whereas, adult stem cells are already of a particular organ or tissue.
The leftist just want to further cheapen life.If embryonic stem cell research was producing results, private investors would be pouring money into it.That's not the case. The barbarian segment of our society expect the gubberment to pay for junk science.
You second statement is completely incorrect.
Stem cells only come from embryos. They do not come from adults. They obviously has not been anything cured using "Adult Stem Cells". There have been some experimental cures using embryonic stem cells.

Stop getting science information from preachers.
so science has hit a brick wall? There are no avenues left unexplored...Why don't we try a little harder before we cheapen life a little more. I believe there was actually someone in charge of the patent office that stated his job was ridiculous because everything had already been thought of.I recall it being in the 1920's or even sooner.

cheapen life when there are no other options left

Fedup:
good job threaten or bully those that don't agree with you..man that is so right out of the handbook...page 2, I believe
