Do you think cigarettes and tobacco-based products should be legal?

why or why not??

Answers:
I think everyone has a right to make their own choice. However, I think that it should definitely be illegal for anyone 21 or younger. There needs to be stricter laws on the younger ones. I am hoping eventually everyone will understand the health ramifications and avoid it altogether. But, I don't believe in dictating what is right and wrong for adult citizens.

yes
They are legal.
Yes, they should be legal. If they weren't legal, people would still smoke and then they would buy them on the black market. No taxes would be paid and just some drug dealer kind of person would be making money on this product. It's not illegal to manufacture and sell them and we should leave it that way. Even if you aren't a smoker and don't like smoke, eventually these "enjoyment police" will get around to you. Maybe you like Twinkies and you will have those taken away from you.
As long as suicide is legal...then why not...it's the same thing.
people usually are attracted more to things that are forbidden and that's why there are druggies that are underage . so yes they should be because people will lose interest in the tobacco based products move on to something more exotic.
They should be legal and they will probably be legal because state ears a lot of money on cigarette tax!

This is very profitable business for the state.

Although they affirm that the tax rises to prevent people from smoking, as a matter of fact they try to earn more money from smokers.
yes, if they were illegal, the people addicted now would be forced to be criminals.
