What do you do if a child was raped at school and school did nothing to prevent it? Police report already done

Answers:
Talk to an attorney, fast, there maybe deadlines that need to be met quickly.

sue the school.
I would take them out of catholic school.
contact the local media to make the story more interesting - that will make the school want to help more if they are under scrutiny by the media & press.
Call a lawyer.
Call the local news.
What could or should the school have done within the confines of running their school? It happened, but did the school have any control or was it an unfortunate event?
A lawyer. No if, ands or but about it. I would own the school and the school board if that happened to my kid and nothing was done at the school.
Good Lord!! All hell would break loose.
What do you expect the school to do to prevent it? You could sue them and drive up taxes for everyone. Or you can work with them to identify methods so this does not happen again, Your choice.
Go kick the principal's *** before moving on to the local school board.
Sue, and sue big.
The school has a responsibility to protect the children in it's care, and unfortunately, some schools/churches/community groups need to cut a fat check to remind them to stop looking the other way.
Do you have proof? Not that has anything to do with it. Police don't want to get involved with cases that night make them look bad. Not they aren't bad. They can just get away with it. I have no love for your law system. I have divorced your way of legally doing things, It depends on who you know and how much money you have. You haven't been watching the news? Take care of it yourself and when you get caught, the news reporters will take it from there.
SUE.
Take it to the newspaper. Nobody likes bad press.
I would contact a counselor for the child. Unfortunately rape is often a crime perpetrated by someone known by the victim which makes it all the more vile and violent.

As far as the school goes, the perpetrator should be expelled in my opinion. This is a serious breach socially and physically on someone. This kid needs help that cannot be given in the given circumstances. Maybe future juvenile delinquent in the making!
call the newspapers and the tv stations and report it to them ad then someone will listen
if the school officials could have prevented the rape, and didnt, then you have grounds for a lawsuit against the school, and perhaps the school board for not terminating those who allowed this to happen. on the other hand, if thre was nothing that could have been done to prevent the rape, then the school is essentially blameless and there is little you can do, but work to improve security at the school.
Don't call the media.
There are plenty of occasions when that is the best idea, but when a child is involved in a sexual assault, the worst thing for the child is to be put through the wringer that is local TV news, and newspaper. Of course in cases like this the child's name is usually kept out of the news, but having worked in TV news before, I know that this is not your best option. A lot of times things like this become a feeding frenzy for the media if it's a slow news day, depending on where you live.

You are better off pursuing this from a legal standpoint.
Speak to an attorney and be discrete about how you go about it.

good luck
You can sue, but in order to win you’d have to prove that the school knew or should have known that there was a danger and failed to take steps to protect the students, or that the school failed to take normal measures in general to keep the students safe.

Discuss the situation with a local attorney.
