Who does the CIA have to report to?
I have to questions
who does the CIA have to report to ?
what kind of work do they do give me an example please?
Answers:
They report to the executive branch (namely the Joint Chiefs and the President).
If you knew what the CIA was doing, then they aren't doing their job real well.
They report to the President and way too many other officials as well.
And they do all sorts of spy work and information gathering.
The CIA pretty much steals information.
My guess would be the same ones the Children and Youth do.because they do not report to you or anyone outside their agency.
the government
Probably the Illuminati. There work involves spying on those they see as a threat to their elite.
Although the CIA reports to the President, oversight responsibilities fall across a wide spectrum of agencies and organizations. The CIA reports both to the executive and legislative branches and more specifically, the National Security Council, the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and the Intelligence Oversight Board.
First and foremost on the legislative side of the coin is the Senate Intelligence Committee and through it, the House Permanent Select Committee and the Senate Select Committee
There are at least two other committees that have an understandable interest in overseeing some aspect of what the CIA does. House International Relations and Senate Foreign Relations and House and Senate Armed Services.
These two committees -- along with the Foreign Relations, Foreign Affairs and Armed Services committees -- authorize the CIA's programs and oversee the CIA. The appropriations committees appropriate funds for the CIA and all U.S. government activities.
Numerous agencies , like to the pentagon, the President, the Joint chiefs of staff, just to mention a few.
I agree with hexeliebe as to who they report to.
As to what the CIA does there is a wide spectrum.
Most notable is their active spying on other countries to find information that could be important to national security.
They also perform analysis of their gathered information. With information ranging from simply where a person is to figuring out how a new weapon works.
At times the CIA trains militant groups to fight against groups we believe are a threat, but do not want U.S. troops involved.
The CIA can even go so far as to use their agents in covert military operations. This can sometimes be a better option than using military special forces.
The CIA also does satellite surveillance and some other forms of electronic surveillance.
If you want the heavy duty password cracking, Internet patrolling, computer hacking kind of spying that is the NSA.
Tel Aviv -- just like the rest of the Federal Government.
