Why the media doesn't look at the bigger picture when covering Micheal Vick story?
why don't we go after people who make money on human fighting, lke people who own NFL teams and M. Vick kinds or people who make money on cage fighting, boxing and etc? may be we should have them dogs wear helmets so they can't bite eachother and make it legal? what kinds of message are we giving our citizens when we resolve our conflicts with going to war and kill people? what kind of role modeling is that? why don't we look into a mirror as a society rather than blaming individuals like Vick, who is a product of the sociey? does punishing the individual solve and put an end to dog fighting? if we, as a society are serious and want to put an end to this issue, does punishing do the job?we better stop giving our kids mixed messages. public media thrives on violence, lets prosecute them, and then Vick kinds. lets prosecute people who lied to us about Iraq to justify this war and/or human killing first, then go after Vick kinds! lets go after the cause rather than the effect ie; Vick !

I make it a point to play with my 5 year old instead of listening to the media trying to exploit someone.
I will bet that if we all spent more time trying to help ourselves we would less enthused about someones downfalls.
Because he is a public figure, accused of a felony.
You are mistaken, most people don't give a **** about him. You are just so obsessed you clearly have a distorted view.
I'll bet that going after Vick for his involvement (if he's guilty)
will stop him from doing it again !!
similar to how capitol punishment works for those that deserve it
None of those things give Vick a license to break the law. As much as you might hate the violence in the NFL or anywhere else, that is legal, and dog fighting is not.
The difference is that people have other choices, even when they don't see them.
Animals don't. We're supposed to look out for them. Dogs, our oldest partners and a big reason why early humans survived have the most right to expect fair treatment.
People make a conscious decision to get involved with the NFL, UFC ect. They are well paid for their activities and the fights aren't to the death (only one before has died from professional cage fighting and that wasn't in the US).
Dogs on the other hand have no choice in the matter and live a life of misery until they are killed in the cage or shot by an owner who doesn't think they are performing well enough.
the huge difference is people choose to enter competitions of games or sports and we chose to watch or not, and they are not killed if they don't preform.
animals may fight to survive in nature, as nature is harsh and survival depends on it, but these animals had no choice and were fought for the amusement of people that are, in my estimation, the worst examples of humankind.
He should be put into a pen with the most vicious of his kind and if he can't perform or win the fight, he should be shot, hung or whatever he was doing to the animals. He is trash in a thousand dollar suit.
CRUELTY IN ANY FORM TO ANY ANIMAL OR HUMAN IS WRONG AND SHOULD BE DEALTH WITH BY LAW ENFORCEMENT.
Michael Vick took dumb animals and tortured them for monetary gain. There is no excuse for that. Cage fighting, boxing, Karate... Those are sports and we as Americans can make a choice to be a part of those, or not. Those poor dogs didn't have a choice on the matter. My daughter and my son both have their brown belts in Karate. Needless to say, no one is stupid enough to try and bully them. Oh there have been a few idiots, but word got around pretty quickly. Not to mention, it's great exercise and the competition is great for kids. Where are you from dude?
