I am divorced and have 3 kids w/ someone that is locked up, does prison make u work 2 pay child support?

he has been in for two and a half yrs. And i havent seen a dime

Answers:
not that i know of but it doesnt stop being charged so when that person gets out and is on parole they will be responsible for paying it.at least while they are on parole you know you will get it because they have to to remain on the street.after that it is the judge and the court that handle it and it becomes a bit harder especially if the person is a criminal because they dont always want to get a conventional job and that means you wont get a check until they see fit to send you one..my advice is to keep being a good parent and as long as that person is out of your lives the better.child support opens up them wanting to be with your children and you must wonder if that is a good thing..good luck and keep your head up you got it and obviously you are handling it.good job

hahaha welcome to the Jerry Springer show.
No, you get nothing. How about this novel idea. Stop depending on someone else, to do what you are supposed to be doing. Support your kids, stop expecting a man behind bars to do it for you..
How's he gonna pay you anything when he only makes 23 cents a day? Use your head for cryin' out loud...!
No way.

That wonderful man of yours gets three hots and a cot plus excellent medical care. That's because he's a criminal. You have kids to take care of and appear to be relatively law abiding.. soooo.. you get nothing.
Yes, they still have to pay child support. See a lawyer.
In prison they make about 20 cents a day.. probably 50 cents if your good...
If he makes about 20 cents a day..
for the past 2 and 1/2 yrs its only about $182.00 dollars anyways.. now would that really help out??
Your best bet is to take him to court... make state pay your child support..and let the state the pull it outta his *ss. So you dont have to!
That is what my aunt did!
At about 80 cents an hour paid to those who are engaged in productive work behind bars, you can forget child support. You needed to have applied for assistance two and a half years ago when he first was incarcerated. If your situation justifies financial help, I am sure you will get it.
don't think so that he can pay.
