Can I file a claim or sue a hotel for renting me a room that was infested with bed bugs. If so how?

I let the manager know about it and they did not charge me for the room , but those bugs bit me and ihave been iching for a week now.

Answers:
When did you let the manager know? Before sleeping or after? Should the hotel have reasonably known about the infestation prior to renting the room to you? Did they fail to warn you? How much compensation are you looking for?

I would say it is probably not worth filing a claim unless you have major medical expenses associated with it. They have a ton of money and full time lawyers. You do not. I would, however, write to the owner (corporate if it is a big chain) and/or the better business bureau.

Yes you can absolutely file a case. Speak to your lawyer about it.
Dont waste your time.just contact the corporate office and you may get a few free nights at one of there hotels.
You got a free room? Did you ask to be moved and the manager refused? I personally don't think you'll get anywhere with a law suit.
