I moved my wife and daughter over 200 miles away to a new home primarily to get away from my neighbor.?

I moved my wife and daughter over 200 miles away to a new home primarily to get away from my neighbor. That family verbally assaulted us and challenged our presence in this rural area repeatedly. We visited friends adjacent to this family last week which led to the police being summoned to our friends house for gestures we did not do. Can we get a restraining order to prevent this harassment and to avoid potential staulking and threats? There is much more to this story but I want to have some legal documentation in place in case something happens in response to an upcoming Farm Bureau suit against these people in which I am to testify.

Answers:
If there is an attorney involved, let him know. Harrassment could be construed as tampering with a witness. That is a criminal offense.

Of course you can. If you feel threatened and you obviously have someone outside of your family to back your claims. Good Luck.
If you've already moved 200 miles away a restraining order might not do any good except to hurt you more because then you may not be able to visit your friends who live adjacent to these people for fear of violating the restraining order... it sounds to me like these folks have caused enough stress in your lives, don't add more too it but getting into a legal battle... perhaps just let it go and know that what comes around goes around and they will get their's in the end.
If it is linked to your court case, yes, it could be a criminal act. But, what you mentioned thus far, this is probably a problem that existed before this court case. It would make it virtually impossible to prove if you have any documented history prior to the case. Like police calls and reports.
get a big gun for all family members, shoot them on sight to kill!! the law will not protect you!!
If it was that terrible that you had to move your family 200 miles away then why did you go back there? You could be asked that question if you appear on Judge Judy or go in front of a judge. I know you could say its a free country but in your special case that should have been the last place you visited. You could have met your adjacent neighbors at IHop and a judge could view that as provoking. If I were you I would protect myself and never go around your crazy old neighbors again. People get shot everyday so be careful
