How long does it typically take for a felony case from start to finish if you plead innocent?
how long does it take for a felony case if you plead innocent and you have overwhelming evidence, but DA refuses to settle? We started with being charged in March. Also, considering we win, how long does it typically take to sue for harassment/purgery/etc ? We intend (if/when we win) to nail the accuser to the wall as well... So how long can that take up too? its a corporation and individual we intend to sue.
Thanks.

You normally can't sue the district attorney because she has public official immunity.
If you can prove that the legal proceeding was initiated against you for unlawful (or spiteful) reasons, then you may be able to sue the complainant for abuse of process.
The D.A. however can't be sued. Sorry.
Court processes can be very long in both criminal and civil. Civil proceedings tend to be much longer because there is much more that comes into play. Both cases will have a pretrial section (what to include, arguing case law), jury selection, opening statements, witness testimony, closing arguments, verdict and sentencing (if any). This can take a good amount of time. Be prepared for anything. Also, DO NOT try to do both systems at once. Do your criminal trial first, then civil. Good luck!
Depends on how large a jurisdiction you're in for the court systems, but normally if the charge was in March, I'd guess by January next year if you want to go to trial.
IF you're found innocent and decide to sue in civil court, you can only file against the police dept in federal court, that takes YEARS.. 3-4 normally. Against the corporation in superior court, 18 months minimum. Probably looking at $10,000 at least for an attorney to file either one, and they'll want that much up front before they do anything.
Don't spend the money before you get it! If there was any probable cause at all that generated the case, you won't win.
