Is it illegal to egg someone's house?

Answers:
Yes, it is called vandalism.

I got stopped by a cop once on halloween when I was a kid. I had been with a dozen kids throwing eggs. The others scrambled when the heat was turned up. I got poached. The cop was one of those hard-boiled types. He said he could charge me with eggciting a riot.

Then he told me, "Omletting your off this time." He said he'd fry me if he caught me again. I suppose I should have felt grateful and looked at the sunnyside. But he was a real crepe.

I hope you enjoyed my little yolk.

Yes, it's called vandalism. Not only could you face criminal charges, you will also be held responsible for the cost of clean up and replacement for anything that can't be cleaned.
Vandalism is illegal in every community as far as I know.
That's defacing someone else's property. Of course it's against the law.
Yes, its called criminal damage to property (in MN) and depending on the amount of damage done, can be a misdemeanor or felony.
Of course!

Yes, it's called vandalism.
If I catch the little f**cker(s)s who keep(s) egging my property and throwing rocks and other items in my back yard while my daughters are playing I'm gonna beat the living s**t out of them.
yes, and you will pay a fine if you're caught.
As long as no one catches you, its perfectly legal.
Of Course!
Yes. You go to jail (or juvinal hall). Either have to clean it up or do something else for community service (sometimes have to do both).
My dogs breath smells really bad - haha
Only if they are making scrambled eggs.
seems to be illegal though I cannot find any specific statutes ...here is a blog on egging
Yes that is vandalism and a minimum and possibly destruction of private property.

Depending upon the cost of the damage you can be at a minimum facing a fine and a permanent record, at a maximum jail time.
If you egg a car , and probably metal siding , the egg will damage the paint, finish. If you want to pay for a whole new paint job, try it sometime. Not quite as bad as spilling a bottle of coke on a car but almost.
