Is it legal to raise the rent three times in three months in Honolulu?

Answers:
if you are on a monthly lease or without a contract.. then it is legal for them to charge whatever rent they choose & change it each rental period

If you are in a year's lease for example, they can't raise your rent until the end of that lease.. and even then.. if they chose to double your rent for the next lease-term.. there is no legal method to prevent that...

If you don't have a signed contract between both parties the owner can charge whatever they want.
Do not think it is right at all and sounds like the landlord is an ***! Do not know if their is a contract but maybe you can call housing authority and ask them about the limitations etc! Goo9d luck and I would think of finding a new place and better landlord!
You need a written lease. I would tell the landlord you will call the authorities. If your illegal, well welcome to America.
Try calling legal aid and asking someone for help.
