The "legalizing prostitution" debate: how come no one seems to care about the guys?
What no one seems to care about is the guys who women do not find attractive enough to sleep with them. What about us? I'm fat, lazy, insecure, I'm not being funny here just honest. I feel a prostitute's job is to have sex with guys who can't get laid (by a CUTE woman) for free. I think it is cruel to guys like me to have to either remain celibate, or have to constantly worry about getting caught and arrested. Why does no one seem to care about the guys who can't get sex any other way??

Have you let your senators, governor, mayor and Representatives know how you feel? I have many friends, both male and female, who are escorts. And they provide a valuable service to their customers. This society has a lot of issues with sex. Prostitution should have been legalized a long time ago. Men and women should not be going to jail or prison because they using their bodies to make a living ( as long as they are adults) Men and women should not be getting fined for using these services. I think a letter should be written to all presidential candidates asking them what they are going to do for the citizens who want to enjoy these services. I also have a lot friends who use escorts becuase they enjoy sex but do not want any emotional strings attached to the act.
Because the system is stupid at times this is one of them. I guess the same people that support abortion (murder of innocent unborn babies) think it's your body but it's not your body and choice when you want to make a living off it or get pleasure for pay.

Prostitution should be allowed in brothels that are properly zoned and governed by labor laws, health codes, subjected to government inspections, and regulated just like any other business. The working environment and pay rates of prostitutes would improve dramatically and they would have safe, clean, secure, and supervised facilities to work in and would be protected from physical abuse. Hey, it works in Nevada and Amsterdam. Under the current barbaric system of prohibition we have in most places, they have NONE of the legal rights or protections other kinds of employees have. The government is just victimizing women by trying to control their bodies
And it isn't particularly fair to the johns either (or "janes" for that matter). Nobody should have to go through the whole seduction ritual and get married or otherwise lock himself/herself into a committed relationship just to have sex. That's the equivalent of buying a jumbo jet just so you can have the peanuts.

OK I can understand your viewpoint, but before we legalize prostitution, we'd have to set some ground rules. The girls would have to have medical insurance and regular checkups to make sure they dont spread any STD's. They'd also have to have some sort of protection from the police, because a lot of prostitutes are beaten or murdered. Maybe we should lokk at places like Amsterdam and take a few pointers from them. Hang in there-you never know what will happen.
