How does society answer the morality and ethics of law breaking? Why should one be free and another jailed?

I wondered what people would think if they knew about this tragedy. One young American-born male could not find work enough to pay for the expenses of his and his mothers home. So he turned to doing something shady. He did not sell drugs, but he did aid the drug sellers. He got caught, and was put in jail. Once out, nobody would give him an honest chance, so he went back to it, and got caught again. Back in jail and his old mom homeless now, he is trying to make parole. He hopes he can find an employer who will give him a chance.
On the flip side there are two cases, one where two hispanic kids followed a white kid home, broke his door down, tied him up an robbed the place. They left but one went back and killed him. Another case, a mother comes home and finds her two white sons dead. They were killed by a Mexican gang members, and there are no arrests and no leads.

Now, do you favor illegal aliens over your own sons America? It certainly looks like you do to me.
