Why did FDR want to be President? he was already well off and had enough money and a law degree.?

can someone with intelligence tell me why.
it will be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
All the Politicians are well educated ( mostly with law degrees ) and they're all very well fixed financially. None run for office because they need the money.

It's sort of obvious that his country needed him, especially when you consider that he was voted in for 4 consecutive terms of office.

He brought this country out of Herbert Hoover's Great Depression and he ended America's involvement in World War II.

.
Why would he want to have that job with polio since '21, too.?The man had six kids, but how much time did Frank put into raising. I read that he cheated on his cousin/wife, so polio didn't make him that handicapped. What's wrong with these men?
It wasn't so much that HE wanted to be president as his political friends saw him as a leader and a man with vision. So they talked him into running and because of his huge popularity with the people he was one of our greatest presidents.
