Is there a country where I can legally sell one of my kidneys?

I really need some cash as the US Gestapo is holding me down

Let me tell you this:
Even if there was a country that would pay for your kidney (ethically questionable in of itself), you would not want to get that kind of surgery there, nor would you want to leave yourself to their mercy in the way of post op care. A uninephrectomy (the word for the surgical removal of one kidney) is not like getting your tooth pulled!
How do I know? I was just discharged from the hospital (Last Sat.) after donating (not selling, donating) a kidney to my brother. Not only is the work up to the surgery substantial, in order to do it safely, the operation itself is very complex, last five hours, and requires someone very competent not only to preserve the kidney, but to ensure your safety and health.
After the operation, it is VERY painful, and you will need lots of care. It hurts to move a muscle, you require a catheter, an IV, a morphine drip and you will need help for the most basic of functions. The chance of infection is great (even with all my care I had a fever my second day from a lung infection, and blood in my urine from the catheter). It involves a very intense week in the hospital where you need a lot of care.
Here in the US they only perform the surgery (uninephrectomy/transplant) in the best hospitals. My brother and I had it done in one of the top hospitals in the US, and still there were risks.
Any place which would allow you to sell your kidney for money would be very questionable, if not substandard in their ethics, and probably their care. You do not want to subject yourself to that.
You are hard up on cash, not suicidal. Also, suppose they did a crap job, and it caused your remaining kidney to fail (likely). Do you have any idea how much dialysis costs? And what it does to the quality of your life? No amount of money can buy that back.

if you are dead set on going to Nigeria, or Rowanda, or Somalia and sell your kidney, be my guest, but keep a couple of things in mind:
The need for organs here in the US is great and people often die waiting for organs.

If your wife, girlfriend, son, daughter, mother, father, friend etc went into kidney failure and needed a transplant what would you say to them? "Sorry, honey, can't help you..sold my kidney for 20K in Rowanda. So sad!"?

OK so you're hard up,
go through your stuff and see what you can sell on eBay.
Get a cheaper car.
Give up smoking (if you smoke)

I can tell you, you need a kidney more than any material item.

Long after the cash is spent you will still not have a kidney.

Plus, if you are prepared to go through the surgery, wouldn't you rather give it as a gift to a loved one who needs it, rather than sell it? And have it done right!

Bottom line, don't do it

And if you do, you deserve whatever consequence results.

Just don't!

This is a joke right?
Saw the movie Coma recently did ya? You must be crazy but if not, I'm sure there is some place out there that would buy your kidney. Not sure how sterile the procedure would be getting it out of you though.
