Is the majority of minorities convicted felons, because the majority of whites can afford expensive lawyers to have their felony charges reduced to misdemeanors ?

Here in California, whites and asians are the majority of minorities. Hispanics now make up about 56%.

Yes, that happens to a lot of minority criminals. White criminals tend to have richer relatives somewhere who will bail them out. (Paris Hilton, for example...)

I don't know...but it sure looks that way. I think society in general has typecast minorities in that role so that's who you'll see more of in those types of news stories.
