You are intimating a personal injury claim, not an employment claim. ACAS cannot assist you. Nor can an employment lawyer; you need a personal injury lawyer.
You (or your lawyer) need to focus on two things:
(i) have you a cause of action?
(ii) have you an injury for which you are entitled to recover damages?
(i) above is determined on whether the prospective defendant owes you a legal duty of care and whether that has been breached.
(ii) the second is determined by expert medico-legal opinion evidence. You must have either a physical or a clinically-recognised psychiatric injury to have a claim.
You give no details and therefore I don't know the answer to the issues above.

So get some legal help form an employment law specialist, your nearest solicitor should be able to point you towards someone who can help or a law firm that just deals with that area of the law.
