Under age drinking?
earlier i ask if people under 21 should be allowed to drink and got some interesting answers some said it effects there developement if this is true then can someone tell how giving them a gun and telling them to kill people doesnt or that they will dirnk and drive and possibly hurt or kill someone else that is crap because i was hit head on by a drunk driver who was in his sixtys so i dont think age is a factor there either.
and i am over 21 and do no drink anymore just want to know what everyone else thinks.

I think it should be 18 on the sole factor that 18 is the age when you are officially considered an adult, and as an adult you should be able to make those kinds of decisions by yourself, as long as nobody else is effected (wink), but personally I think alcohol in itself should be illegal, as should cigarettes, because both are considered drugs by the FDA, so if all other "drugs" (marijuana, heroin, crack-cocaine) are illegal then cigarettes, and alcohol should be as well, because their not medication, besides alcohol makes an *** out of its drinkers.
I never understood where 21 came from. I think if a person is of legal age at 18 for voting, military and the like the drinking age should be the same.
well of course underage drinkin can mess up development cuz we're still growing. only silly teens drink and drive or do stoopid things. i make sure im in a safe place b4 im toasted.
I don't think people mature as quickly today as thek used to. They get into things way over thier heads to early these days. And the government is overstepping their bounds when they butt in on a simple spanking. Yes, starting at that age. They are making pansies out of alot of kids these days because you can't correct them at an early age, and then it just continues on, like a kid can't flip a burger that is in high school cause they might get burned. Come on, they are old enough to flip a freakin burger! So, we are getting more of drinking underage because of society and laws I think. But, we've really got to revamp the laws on drinking somehow. I'm not really sure how, haven't thought that long and hard on it. But, I'm sure if I did think long enough, I could come up with something. But, the government probably wouldn't agree with me. I rarely drink these days and definately do not drive when I do! I prefer to stay home on new years because of all the drinking also. I'd sure hate to get hit by a drunk driver and not finish raising my kids just to go out on a night. And not even drink! So, I just stay home with them.
