If three teenagers commit a crime, two girls and one boy. Who should be charged?
Last fall, here in Buffalo, NY two teenage girls (both 15) and one teenage boy (16) went to a Christian church and with spray paint vadalized the church with "LONG LIVE THE ATHEISTS" ... and they also burned an American flag.
They are all being charged ... but do you think it's unfair that they are charging the girls? Girls never do that sort of stuff. I think that they should let the girls off and put the boy in jail, maybe for life. What do you think?

What, all 3 of them did the crime, actively participated in the crime so they all should be charged. They all had an equal part so yes they all should get an equal sentence.
Now isnt that a bit harsh to say the girls should get off and the boy should go to jail for life. That punishment doesnt even fit the crime.
I should ask my mother in law about this case, she never mentioned it to me (we are from Buffalo). Maybe I will read the Buffalo News this seems interesting.

I don't think that would really be fair. If you honestly think that, then you should probably consider that girls can be just as bad-behaved as boys can. It doesn't matter the gender. You can't choose who you are born to be. Say those two girls were born boys. Would you think they should go to jail? It's wrong to think that girls should be let off the hook and boys should get in trouble for something they all did bad together.

you're crazy. if they all did it, then they should all be punished. girls would be just as capable to that than a boy would. and no one would ever be put away for life just for spray painting property. the only reason the girls shouldn't be charged is if there is some proof that they were not involved.
I think you are displaying a major double standard. Should we let a woman who killed a man off because of her sex? I don't think so! Anyone who commits a crime should be charged and if the jury finds them innocent, so be it! Justice will prevail.

No one made the girls commit the crime. They are just as guilty. That is part of what equality for women means. Males and females should be treated equally.

Did the girls just shake the paint ,or give moral support ,hold his hands,maybe a little paint or did they sit in the car an watch. They were there an had a choice a wrong choice so there as guilty as the boy sorry.
They should all be punished. How is the teenage supposed to be held accountable if they get away with their crimes. I did time because of the garbage I did and I am very female thank you very much, had not been held accountable, I would never have learned anything and I would probably be in the same pattern I was as a teenager. Now I am very successful person, and thanks to being held accountable, I succeed every single day in life.
