What are California/Federal laws for overtime pay for salaried employees? What are the regulations for...?

required lunch breaks/other breaks? How long can a shift be - how many breaks per shift does the law require? If your boss isn't complying to these laws, what can you do?

Answers:
You know, there is no real clear cut answer, even with the law, because there are exempt employees, who don't get overtime, so it really depends on your employment status. That doesn't mean that sweatshops are OK.

It's a plethora of information but here is the link for California Penal Code Labor Laws.

You in an 8 hr. period you get atleast 30 mins. for lunch. (2) 15 min breaks and for a salaried employee you do not get 'overtime' because you do not get paid by the hour!

If your boss isn't complying call the labor board - do you work for a large company or privately owned?
