Since I am not on contract from my employer, and he signed an NDA, should I get a commission for my ideas?

I have patentable intellectual properties. I would like to know if my boss has the right to control the patenting process, or what the recourse would be if he went ahead with manufacturing my product without my permission. This product is not pending patent yet.

Answers:
he more than likely does if you signed a contract with him to allow all discoveries found in the office/lab to be property of the company. one of my fathers friends created the drug singular, quite common allergy medicine yet stronger than zyertc. he didnt not gain much from it, as he would if he was working alone.
