Is my roomate out of line?
Last night one of my roomates and I got into an argument about marijuana vs. alcohol, vicodin and chewing tobacco. I smoke weed about 2x a week (weekend). I might drink twice a month and I never pop pills. My roomate drinks every weekend, pops (2) vicodin about 3x a week that arent even perscribed to him, and chews tobacco EVERYDAY. So as soon as I light up a joint he gets all pissy and starts talkin out of his *** about how marijuana is this and that. His main argument is that its illegal and then he turns around and pops 2 vicodin that arent perscribed to him and drools on himself. Does anybody else find this laughable? Anti-weed people spare me the bull, I just want to want you think about my roomate stance.

I'd say your roommate is a hypocrite seeing as he is popping pills which are not prescribed to him. In fact, there are plenty of places that prescribe pot now so you are totally on par with him if you live there.
Also, occasional pot use versus occasional vicodin use is not the same. Pot is not addictive (physically at least).
I would say these two words to your roommate when he starts preaching to you:
Pot. kettle.

I used to have a naturalist roommate that used to freak out on me for taking Ventolin to control asthma (as prescribed), and I would take the occasional Advil for a headache. Marijuana was a 3 x a year ordeal (birthday, 4:20, and Canada day). He thought I was the devil. However the boy loved his cocaine. (which was apparently acceptable because it was a derivative from a natural source as well as an "elegant drug")
Some people are just so full of crap that they are incapable of logic. Your roommate appears to be one of them.
I think your roommate is out of line. I hate when people are all anti-weed but drink all they want or pop pills. It's ridiculous. I don't know anyone who has got in a car wreck or seriously hurt because they were high, but people die ALL the time from being drunk. As far as I'm concerned alcohol is worse than weed.
Tell him the story about the pot and the kettle.
If That does not work, offer to call the police to see what they think is worse.
Vicodin doesn't stink up the apartment/dorm room.
