Isnt there a website that tells you if there are any sex offenders in your neighborhood?

There are web sites in California. Just put "Megan's Law database" in a search engine and find your county, usually listed by Sheriff's Dept. You may be able to find databases for other places outside California as well.

Differs by state, some are free, ussually the state run ones, and some are pay sites where you pay a maintenence fee to help keep them running.
