Prohibition has never worked, and it never will
but these drugs are not 'socially acceptable', so they have very slim chances of being legalized ~ and (other than Cannabis) no medicinal value (don't forget heroin has few side effects ~ but 'im told' it is extremely hard to kick)
chemical addiction is a social issue, but we have criminalized it
~ do you see the hypocrisy and the catch 22 here :)
Cuz drugs make you do stupid things. Heres a big example of a stupid thing. Trying to defend drugs and not make it look bad.
its just a way for them to keep society at bay. its a facade
Your forget there is a very huge tobacco and alcohol lobby. There isn't one for marijuana or other drugs. So, having said that. This as nothing to do with classes of people. It has more to do with the taxes that are collected by the government for both alcohol and tobacco. As for illegal drugs, there should be strict inforcement of the laws. If you get caught selling, it should be a mandatory 20 year prison sentence. If you get caught using, a mandatory treatment of 5 years. Those 5 years would be spent in some type of prison with treatment. That would pretty much clean up the problem. No plea bargains, no outs. You do the crime, you do the time.
Well, by reading your question I would think that either you're on drugs now or that when you should have been paying attention in school, you were out doing drugs! First get you spelling right ( or at least use your spell check) and if people want to get high they will, if they don't like getting high they won't.
The term"war on drugs" is a roughly recent term and backed by the pharmaceutical industry. The theory is more to the fact that if the population can be sufficiently convinced that what is said is true you can criminalize and multiply the financial gains, while creating a system to "rob & pillage, through "legislative" means." As far as the "health factor" of either form of drug industry. It is believed that when people are kept sick and dependant there are needs for physicians, other wise an healthy population is counteractive. they however do not realize the benefits to an healthy society of achievers. !~CHANT~A~SEALLAH~!
